Dr Amraoui at the 20th symposium in Copenhagen

During the 20th symposium on atrial fibrillation in Copenhagen, Dr Amraoui shared her experience on developing an international rhythmology service.

Her colleagues, Dr Elena Arbelo, MD, PhD, MSc from Spain and Dr Naeem Alshoaibi from Saudi Arabia also participated in this session.

She emphasized the importance of patient education, which is an integral part of successful therapeutic management. She particularly presented all the informational brochures developed at the American Hospital of Paris to support patients in their daily lives: what atrial fibrillation is, its symptoms, risk factors, and available treatments. All these efforts contribute to demystifying this arrhythmia such as atrial fibrillation and its curative therapeutic management, particularly catheter ablation, in order to facilitate the patient journey.
